Hoist Spares

Hoist Spares : You can now update your stores with Hoist Spares for hassle-free Performance of your Electric Wire Rope Hoists.

Hoist Spares are essential for Proper & Successful working of Hoist. Be it Wire Rope Hoist or Chain Hoist.

Wire Rope Hoist is also an Assembly of more than 150 - 200 parts. And Each & Every Parts has its own Role.

Rope Guide in Rope Hoist performs the task of Guide for fitting of Rope in proper groove made on Rope Drum. Rope Guide Materials in Indian make Rope Hoist is normally Cast Iron and as such there are more chances of Breaking of this Hoist Part. Now a days some International Hoist & Crane Manufacturers use Non-metallic material also for Rope Guide.

Compensative Rope Pulley is an extra pulley provided for increasing Nos. of Falls.

Hoist Spares also includes Spares of Brakes, Crane Control Gears, Power Transmission Products like Gear Boxes, Gear Motors, Couplings, Power Source Products like Electric Motors.....

Cross Travel Wheel - Also Called C T Wheel are prone for wearing of Material. Cross Travel Wheel Assembly consists of C T Wheel, C T Wheel Spindle, Bearings, Spacers and Nut.

Hook Block - Bottom Block is the Assembly of some parts like Hook and Nut, Rope Sheaves, Sheave Bearings, Thrust Bearing, Cross Piece, Side Plates, Rope Sheave Guard Covers and Hardware.

Reputed Manufacturers are following the conventional method for Hook Block Assembly. Sturdy and Heavy in Weight.

Some Manufacturers have Redesigned the Hook Block Assembly to Light Weight. Plate thickness is reduced, Cross Bar is used only for Hook Fitting instead of for Hook fitting and Pulley Mounting.

Safety Measures in Hook Block : Safety Latch on Hook, Hook & Nut Locking and Provision & Locking of Rope Sheave Guard Covers. Theses Guard Covers shall protect the Crane Operator from Rotating Pulley (Rope Sheave) and vertical moving Wire Rope.

Guideline : 5 Ton and above Hook & Nut locking is done through Key fitting by Bolts.

How Hook Block is important in Hoisting Assembly ?

Lifting and Lowering Operation is performed by the Hook Block only.

Note that, Lifting Operation is Anti Gravitational so Hook Block must hold the Load Properly during this Operation.

Hook must be 360 Degree Swiveling for Positioning the Load during Lifting as well as Parking the Load.

Loaded Hoisting Mechanism provides sufficient Tension in the Wire Rope (Rope Fall) during Lifting and Lowering Operation. And as such chances of Over-Lapping of wire rope over each other on the Rope Drum are rare or say negligible.

Idler Lifting or Lowering Operations can not extend the proper or sufficient Tension in the Wire Rope (Rope Falls) in general Hoisting Mechanism, resulting  more chances of Wire rope Over-Lapping on the Rope Drum.

To avoid this SITUATION, weight of Overall Hook Block or Bottom Block should be such that it may provide necessary Tension to the Wire Rope during Idler Lifting & Lowering Operation.

Note : Wire Rope Overlapping on Rope Drum is not easily accessible to the Crane Operator as the Hoist or Crab are Mounted on Crane Bridge Girder at Certain Height.

As a result of repeated operations of Hoisting Mechanism, Over-Lapping of Wire Rope shall damage the Rope in turn. This may reduce the Overall Life of Wire Rope and raise the chances of Accidents.
